Tom has done many things during the course of his life, but the constant thread has been two wheels.
After realizing he was riding way too fast on the street, he joined WMRRA in 1984, and raced in the Northwest, until recently- for 30 years. After enjoying some success, Tom mentored new racers at WMRRA, and ran the track day portion of the New Rider Clinic for novices in the middle 1990's.
Tom has raced all over the Northwest, plus a couple WERA National events at the then Miller Motorsports Park, now the Utah Motorsports Campus. He has captained his endurance team to numerous Lightweight Endurance and Superteam wins, and four Lightweight Endurance Championships
Tom is all about getting the "light bulb" to come on for those he coaches, he prefers lightweight bikes like the Suzuki SV650 at the track for breaking in new track day riders because they are much easier, cheaper, and forgiving than the bigger bikes. But then you will also find him just as comfortable on his Yamaha R1 or R6. Tom looks forward to helping others reach that level of comfort as well.
